Located on the eastern side of Florida by the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, NAS Macho Grande is by far the most unusual and exciting naval air station in the world.

Unlike other bases NAS Macho Grande is a unique, mystical place where time has little or no meaning. Here you can watch operational aircraft from other places and times existing right here, right now. It is a temporary home to any squadron that has ever existed, past, present or future, and as such is a haven for aviators, modelers, photographers, historians, artist or any one seeking inspiration.

NAS Macho Grande is a fun, alternate reality The following is an example of what you can expect. You just finished your 1/48 scale F-4 Phantom in VF-111 Sundowners Squadron markings and after photographing it (see the photographic tips at American Flight Visions) you imagine yourself pressing the transmit button on the stick saying “Macho Grande tower this is navy jet Xray two zero niner coming out of holding pattern delta-sierra requesting clearance for one fox four”.
